How to subscribe to service advisories that notify you of updates, changes and/or issues affecting Everbridge.

Description

Everbridge communicates product updates, maintenance activities, service degradation events, and system status alerts via service advisories (emailed to subscribers and/or posted via a link to our status page from the Everbridge Support Center). Service advisories are available on the Everbridge Status page for thirty days. Only Everbridge users who subscribe to the desired features will receive the alert emails. Everbridge will send a product announcement to all Account Admins and Organization Admins only for exceptional events.

Users may sign up to receive service advisories via email or SMS. Once users have subscribed to receive service advisories, they receive notifications whenever a service advisory or update is published. Users will only receive emails/SMS messages for the feature they subscribed to.  

For service degradations, users will first receive a notification identifying the affected component. Another notification will follow communicating the impacted feature.  Further updates will only be sent to users who have subscribed to the specified feature. The original advisory is sent to a wider audience until engineering is able to identify the exact feature impacted.

 

To Subscribe or Modify Subscriptions

  1. Log in to the Support Center.
  2. Navigate to the Service Advisories tab or the Status page.

  1. From the Everbridge status page, select SUBSCRIBE TO UPDATES.  By default, it will prompt you to subscribe with an email.

By Email:

  1. Enter your email address, and select SUBSCRIBE VIA EMAIL.

One Time Passcode (OTP):

When subscribing via email, you may be sent a one-time passcode (OTP). If you receive a message that you have been sent, an OTP follow these steps:

    1. Go to your email and retrieve the OTP
    2. Click on the SUBSCRIBE TO UPDATES link a second time. Clicking on this option a second time will prompt you for the OTP
    3. Enter the OTP at the prompt

              Please note that email addresses are CASE SENSITIVE.  Most are stored in all lower case. 

By Phone (SMS):

Notice you are also able to subscribe using a phone number in order to receive an SMS message: 

Enter your phone number to ensure the initial advisories are sent to your phone to alert you of any information we are trying to send to you.  NOTE: Using SMS requires that you confirm you want to receive messages via SMS and you will receive an SMS message on your phone asking you to confirm your subscription.  You must confirm to be subscribed properly.

The same list of features will then appear for you to select for your phone subscription.

  1. You will then be prompted to select the features you want to subscribe to:

  1. Open the <CEM: category> you are interested in signing up for (by clicking on the > to expand the list) to ensure the specific components in those categories you want to subscribe to are checked. Then click SAVE.  The list of components and what they are used for can be found in the tables below. 

 

To Unsubscribe From All Subscriptions

Follow the same steps and choose unsubscribe at the top of the page.

Alertus Select these options to be notified about issues for publishing options. If you only select one or a few options, you will be notified if publishing options are impacted or if your selected publishing option(s) is(are) impacted.
