How to restrict the custom Safety Buttons to specific Contacts in the Everbridge Mobile app.

Description

Each Safety Button can be configured so that only certain Groups or Rules of Contacts can use them in the Everbridge Mobile app.

NOTE: Groups or Rules must exist in the Organization before continuing. See knowledge articles EBS: Creating Groups in Everbridge Suite and EBS: Creating and Updating Rules for Selecting Contacts in Everbridge Suite for information on creating Groups and Rules.

Follow the steps below to configure which Groups or Rules of Contacts have access to custom Safety Buttons:

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal and select an Organization from the upper right-hand side of the page.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click the Everbridge Mobile App sub-tab.
  4. Click Application Options.
  5. Click Safety.
  6. Click on the name of the relevant custom button.
  7. Under Who Can See This Button?, select the radio button for the relevant option.
    1. All contacts - selects all Contacts in the Organization that use the Everbridge Mobile app.
    2. Selected groups - allows selection for existing Contact Groups in the Organization.
    3. Selected rules - allows selection for existing Contact Rules in the Organization.
  8. Click Save.
