Delivery method code definitions used to send notifications to contacts in Everbridge Suite.

Description:

The table below lists the available delivery methods used to send notifications to contacts using Everbridge Mass Notification. When choosing default delivery methods, the Code is the name of the method and the Prompt is the name that can be assigned to the delivery method. Additional delivery methods are available for contacts that might have more than one E-Mail Address or phone number. Delivery Method Code

Description

E-Mail Address

The recipient will receive a  notification through an email. For more information on undelivered email messages please see: Undelivered Email Messages.

Extension Phone

The recipient will receive a notification in the form of a phone call. This delivery method is designed for recipients whose phone number has an extension that must be dialed after the phone number so that they can be reached directly.

Fax

The recipient will receive a notification in the form of a fax that includes a subject and the body of the notification. For a detailed list of fax call results please see: Call Results for Broadcast Reports.

Mobile Push Alert

The recipient will receive a notification from the Everbridge mobile app that the organization is signed up for. For more information on Everbridge mobile applications, please see: Everbridge Mobile Applications.

Numeric Pager

The recipient will receive a phone number they can call to listen to a notification. For more information on pagers please see: Sending Messages to Pagers.

One Way SMS

The recipient will receive a notification in the form of a SMS text message, however they will not be able to respond to the notification. For more information, please see: Everbridge SMS Best Practices.

Phone

The recipient will receive a notification in the form of a phone call. Everbridge will either play a recorded message, or it text to speech will automatically be used.

Plain Text Email - 1 Way

The recipient will receive a notification as a text message. However, they will not be able to respond to the notification. 

Plain Text Email - 2 Way

The recipient will receive a notification as a text message. 

SMS

Notifications sent using the delivery method Short Message Service (SMS) will be delivered to recipients in the form of a text message. For more information please see: Everbridge SMS Best Practices.

TAP Pager

The body of a notification will be displayed as the content. The recipient will receive a phone number to call and a PIN to enter to confirm receipt. For more information, please see: Sending Messages to Pagers.

TTY

The recipient will receive a notification through a text telephone (TTY) device which is a device designed for the hearing impaired. For more information please see: TTY Device Best Practices.
