Delivery method code definitions used to send notifications to Contacts in Everbridge Suite.

Description

The table below lists the available delivery methods used to send notifications to Contacts using Everbridge Mass Notification. When choosing default delivery methods, the Code is the name of the method and the Prompt is the name that can be assigned to the delivery method. Additional delivery methods are available for Contacts that might have more than one E-Mail Address or phone number. Delivery Method Code

 

Description

E-Mail Address

The recipient will receive a  notification through an email. For more information on undelivered email messages see knowledge article EBS: Troubleshooting Undelivered Message Issues in Everbridge Suite.

Extension Phone

The recipient will receive a notification in the form of a phone call. This delivery method is designed for recipients whose phone number has an extension that must be dialed after the phone number so that they can be reached directly.

Fax

The recipient will receive a notification in the form of a fax that includes a subject and the body of the notification. For a detailed list of fax call results see knowledge article EBS: Understanding Call Result Messages for Notifications in Everbridge Suite.

Mobile Push Alert

The recipient will receive a notification from the Everbridge mobile app that the organization is signed up for. For more information on Everbridge mobile applications, knowledge article Mobile: Available Everbridge Mobile Applications Description, Version and Platform Information.

Numeric Pager

The recipient will receive a phone number they can call to listen to a notification. For more information on pagers see knowledge article EBS: Sending Messages to Pagers in Everbridge Suite.

One Way SMS

The recipient will receive a notification in the form of a SMS text message, however they will not be able to respond to the notification. For more information, see knowledge article EBS: Everbridge SMS Best Practices.

Phone

The recipient will receive a notification in the form of a phone call. Everbridge will either play a recorded message, or it text to speech will automatically be used.

Plain Text Email - 1 Way

The recipient will receive a notification as a text message. However, they will not be able to respond to the notification. 

Plain Text Email - 2 Way

The recipient will receive a notification as a text message. 

SMS

Notifications sent using the delivery method Short Message Service (SMS) will be delivered to recipients in the form of a text message. For more information see knowledge article EBS: Everbridge SMS Best Practices.

TAP Pager

The body of a notification will be displayed as the content. The recipient will receive a phone number to call and a PIN to enter to confirm receipt. For more information, see knowledge article EBS: Sending Messages to Pagers in Everbridge Suite.

TTY

The recipient will receive a notification through a text telephone (TTY) device which is a device designed for the hearing impaired. For more information see knowledge article EBS: TTY Device Best Practices in Everbridge Suite.
