Uptick in Phishing Activity Observed - Reminder to be Vigilant of Phishing.
Description
We want to take a moment to remind you to stay vigilant against phishing threats, as we’ve observed an uptick in phishing activity across the industry. Attackers are using increasingly sophisticated tactics—including AI-driven emails, fake websites, and impersonation—to trick users into revealing their credentials.
At Everbridge, security is our top priority. We deploy a layered defense approach, using real-time threat detection and proactive monitoring to identify phishing attempts early, block malicious domains, and protect customer environments.
How to Spot and Avoid Phishing Attacks
- Phone Scams (“Vishing”) – Attackers can manipulate caller IDs to appear legitimate. Always independently verify a caller’s identity before sharing sensitive information.
- SMS Phishing (“Smishing”) – Fraudsters may use fake short codes that mimic trusted organizations. Be wary of unexpected texts asking you to click links or provide login credentials.
- Fake Login Pages – Always log in directly via your bookmarked Everbridge portal—never click links in unexpected emails or texts.
Protecting Your Account
- Everbridge will never call, email, or text you requesting your login credentials.
- Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for an extra layer of security.
