How to test the ManageBridge Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration.
Description
After configuring or reconfiguring SSO for ManageBridge, follow the steps below to test the SSO configuration.
Test the ManageBridge App SSO Configuration
-
In the ManageBridge mobile app tap Enable Single-Sign On.
-
On the next screen enter your Key Phrase. Once you have entered your Key Phrase, you will be redirected to a login page where you enter your IdP credentials.
Additional Information
-
Users may need to enter the key phrase each time they log in due to integration with the organization's mobile device management (MDM) system.
-
When using SSO, the Everbridge app may open in a Chrome window and prompt users to open it in the app. This is expected behavior with SSO and MDM integration. Select 'Yes' to open the app and complete the authentication process.
If Users are unable to log in to ManageBridge via SSO
Follow the same troubleshooting steps outlined in knowledge article EBS: Configuring Single Sign-On (SSO) for Use With the Everbridge Manager Portal.
If users are unable to reset their password using the 'Forgot Password' option, they may still be able to access the App using SSO. Instruct them to look for the 'Enable Single Sign-On' option on the login screen and enter the provided key phrase to authenticate with their existing SSO credentials.
If users are unable to log in via SSO
- Capture screenshots and specific error messages.
- Reach out to the IdP administrator to determine whether there is an error happening on the IdP side.
- Submit a support ticket noting the specific error received, the impacted user, the username entered upon logging in, and the date/time of the failed sign-in attempt.
- Refer to knowledge article EBS: Troubleshooting & Configuration Guide for Single Sign-On (SSO) - Main Page for troubleshooting help.
