How to configure single sign-on (SSO) for use with the Everbridge ManageBridge App.

Description

Overview

Setting up SSO for the Everbridge ManageBridge App consists of the following tasks:

  1. Configure SSO for the Manager Portal

Note: Enabling SSO for the Manager Portal does not automatically enable it for the ManageBridge App. Enabling SSO for the ManageBridge App is a separate step.

  1. Enable the use of SSO for the ManageBridge App
  2. Test the ManageBridge App SSO Configuration

Configure SSO for the Manager Portal

Additional Information

  • Users may need to enter the key phrase each time they log in due to integration with the organization's mobile device management (MDM) system.
  • When using SSO, the Everbridge app may open in a Chrome window and prompt users to open it in the app. This is expected behavior with SSO and MDM integration. Select 'Yes' to open the app and complete the authentication process.

If users are unable to log into ManageBridge via SSO

Follow the same troubleshooting steps outlined in knowledge article EBS: Configuring Single Sign-On (SSO) for Use With the Everbridge Manager Portal.

If users are unable to reset their password using the 'Forgot Password' option, they may still be able to access the app using SSO. Instruct them to look for the 'Enable Single Sign-On' option on the login screen and enter the provided key phrase to authenticate with their existing SSO credentials.
