A guide to the errors that can be encountered when importing a region file into the Shape Library in Everbridge Suite.

Description:

If you attempt to import an incompatible region file (shapefile) into the Universe > Shape Library you will receive one of the following error messages. We have provided some more information on what is causing the file to be incompatible.

Only EPSG:4326 and EPSG:3857 shape data formats are supported.

- Polygon could be in an incompatible Projection/CRS. Make sure shape is EPSG:4326 

NOTE: Error says EPSG:3857 is supported but there is an open defect for this; MN-19350. Please use EPSG:4326.

The file doesn't contain valid shapes.

- Polygon could have a hole and be a "Donut Shape". Polygons with holes are not supported. 
- Polygon could be a multi-part polygon. Multi-part polygons are not supported. 
- Polygon could be in an incompatible Projection/CRS. Make sure shape is EPSG:4326

One or more shapes cannot be loaded. {The shape(s) contains hole(s), which is not supported.}

- Polygon could have a hole and be a "Donut Shape". Polygons with holes are not supported.
