EBS: Blank Page When Using Single Sign-On (SSO) to Log Into the Everbridge Suite Manager Portal, Member Portal or Visual Command Center (VCC)

Problem

When logging into the Everbridge Suite Manager Portal, Member Portal or Visual Command Center (VCC) using Single Sign-On (SSO) and clicking GO TO LOGIN PAGE, the login page is blank.

Root Cause

The API name for the Single Sign-On definition is in uppercase format or a combination of upper and lower case letters.The URL used for SSO is created with the API name in lowercase regardless of how it is defined in the SAML Single Sign-On Settings. For example, if the API Name is ssotesting, SSOTesting, SSOTESTING, or ssoTesting the URL will always be built as follows with the API name in lowercase:

authentication.everbridge.net/cas/saml/login/ssotesting?service=https%3A%2F%2Fssotesting.everbridge.net%2F

 

Solution

To avoid this problem, always define the API name in lowercase. This is true at the Account level, the Org level, SSO for the Manager Portal and SSO for the Member Portal.
