Question

Can contacts confirm SMS messages sent from custom alphanumeric SMS sender IDs in Everbridge?

Answer

Recipients can reply directly back to received SMS messages if the sender ID is one of the designated Everbridge sender IDs for the given country OR a custom alphanumeric SMS sender ID.

To determine if the SMS sender ID is one of the designated Everbridge sender IDs for the given country, log in to the Support Center and select the SMS Status tab from the top menu bar.

If recipients are still unable to respond by replying to the SMS code, enable the Include Short URL in SMS Messages option in the Settings > NotificationsDefault Options. For steps on enabling the short URL, see knowledge article Enabling-SMS-Short-URL
