EBS: How to Create an Incident Template Category for Use With Incident Communications

How to create an incident template category for use with Everbridge Suite Incident Communications.

Description:

Follow the steps below to create an incident category in Everbridge Suite:

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal and select the desired organization from the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Click on the Incidents tab from the top menu bar.
  3. Click on the Templates sub-tab.
  4. Navigate to the Category column.
  5. Click on any entry in the Category column, i.e. an already existing category name or the '---' symbol that represents no Category.

Note in the example below, you may click on one of the existing category names, 'Employee' or 'Animals', or the '---' symbol:

  1. A pop-up menu appears:

  1. Click --Manage--
  2. Click New Category.

  1. Enter a name for the new category.

  1. Click Save.
  2. Click Close.
