Enabling Everbridge Open for Your Organization

2026-06-18 15:27:43 UTC

Everbridge Open is part of the Everbridge AI capabilities and lets your organization access Everbridge Risk Events and Everbridge Travel Risk Events, as well as create API keys for integration. This article explains the prerequisites, how to enable Everbridge Open risk events, and what to do if you do not see the Everbridge Open tab or settings in your account.

Before you begin

Everbridge Open is available to Everbridge 360 Enterprise customers as part of the Everbridge AI capabilities. Before you try to enable it, make sure:

  • Your organization has Everbridge 360 enabled.
  • Your account subscription includes the Everbridge Open feature.

If you are not sure whether Everbridge Open is included in your subscription, contact your Account Manager to confirm. If it is not yet enabled, your Account Manager can add Everbridge Open/API to your organization.

Enable Everbridge Open risk events

Once Everbridge Open is available for your organization, you can enable its risk event options from your settings.

  1. Sign in with an account that has organization-level administrative privileges.
  2. Go to Settings > Everbridge Open > Risk Events.
  3. Toggle on the appropriate option(s):
    • Everbridge Risk Events
    • Everbridge Travel Risk Events

After you turn these options on, Everbridge Open risk events will be enabled for your organization.

Access the Everbridge Open tab and API keys

When the Everbridge Open feature is enabled at the organization level, an Everbridge Open tab and the option to create API keys appear in your account settings. Use these options to generate API keys and integrate Everbridge Open data into your own systems.

Troubleshoot missing Everbridge Open tab or settings

If you do not see the Everbridge Open option under Settings, or you cannot find the Everbridge Open tab or API key options, use the checks below.

  • Confirm that Everbridge 360 is enabled for your organization.
  • If 360 is enabled but Everbridge Open still does not appear, verify that your role permissions allow you to see organization-level settings.
  • If the tab or options are still missing, your organization likely does not have Everbridge Open enabled:
    • Contact your Account Manager and ask them to enable the Everbridge Open/API feature for your organization.
    • You can also open a support request with your organization name so Support can check your account settings and coordinate with your Account Manager to enable the feature.

Once the feature has been enabled at the organization level, the Everbridge Open tab, risk event toggles, and the ability to create API keys will appear in your account settings.
