Upcoming Change to Everbridge Online Help Access

2026-05-19 18:57:33 UTC

This announcement affects you if you access the Manager Portal's Online Help documentation.

Planned Change

To further enhance the security of Everbridge documentation resources and better protect customer content, Everbridge will be updating access to the in-product Online Help.

Beginning soon, all Online Help content will require authenticated access. Customers, partners, and authorized users will need to sign in using their organization's existing Everbridge authentication method to access protected content.

Content intended for broader, public audiences such as Community and Nixle members, Public Safety information, and select general reference materials will still be available in the Everbridge Support Center.

What Is Changing

  • Everbridge Online Help documentation will no longer be publicly accessible.
  • Users will be prompted to authenticate before viewing protected content if they're not already signed in.
  • Customers who currently access Everbridge using single sign-on (SSO) or MFA-enabled authentication will continue using their existing sign-in experience.
  • Access validation will confirm that the user is associated with an active Everbridge customer account.

Why We Are Making This Change

This update is part of Everbridge's ongoing commitment to strengthening platform security and protecting customer-related documentation resources from misuse or unauthorized access.

By requiring authenticated access, Everbridge can better ensure that detailed technical documentation are available only to authorized users.

Action Required

No immediate action is required if you already have access to the Everbridge platform.

When accessing protected Online Help content after this change is implemented:

  1. Sign in to the Manager Portal using your organization's existing Everbridge authentication method when prompted.
  2. Navigate to the in-product Online Help as you normally would from the Help & Support Menu.

If you do not currently have access and believe you should, please contact your Organization or Account Administrators, or Everbridge Support.

Customer Impact

  • Accessing Online Help content will require authentication.
  • Existing authenticated users should experience no disruption.
  • Any bookmarks or direct links to protected Online Help pages may redirect you to a sign-in page before content is displayed.

This change does not affect the availability or operation of your Everbridge services.

Timing

Everbridge plans to complete the Online Help changes with the Everbridge CEM May Release scheduled for May 26 (EU) and May 27 (US). Additional communication will be provided if timing changes.
