Topic

This article describes how the Everbridge 360 Usage Reporting – Notifications dashboards behave, including the “Count of Notifications by Source each Month” chart, and explains why these charts only display data for the account’s active subscription period.

Description

The Everbridge 360 pre-created Usage Reporting – Notifications dashboard is designed to show usage data that is aligned with the account’s active subscription period. The “Count of Notifications by Source each Month” chart displays data only for the active subscription period and does not provide options to change or extend the timeframe.

The dashboard timeframe corresponds to the subscription period that is linked to the account. The subscription period can follow any contract window (for example, Jan–Dec or May–May). The dashboard is not controlled by the calendar year and does not display months that fall outside the active subscription period.

The “Count of Notifications by Source each Month” chart cannot be customized. There is no user-configurable setting on this chart or dashboard that permits changing the date range, extending the timeframe beyond the active subscription period, or switching to a different subscription term.

When an account rolls into a new subscription period, the underlying data window for the pre-created Usage Reporting – Notifications dashboard also rolls forward. As a result, months from the prior subscription period are no longer visible in the dashboard once the system reflects the new contract period. The dashboard cannot display months outside the current active subscription period.

If the dashboard is displaying an incorrect subscription period or appears to be missing recent months that should be included, this can be due to a synchronization issue between the contract system and the Everbridge Suite. The system relies on usage ledger entries in the contract system to populate dashboard information. To resolve this, the correct, active contract must be linked to the customer record so that the platform can synchronize the active subscription dates.

To have more recent months included in the Usage Reporting – Notifications dashboard, it is necessary to ensure the correct active contract is associated with the customer record. This requires coordination with the appropriate internal team managing contract data so that the executed contract is correctly mapped to the customer record. Once the correct contract is associated and the system synchronization completes (typically as part of an overnight sync), the usage data in the dashboard updates to include the additional months that fall within the active subscription period.

During periods when there is no active subscription associated with the account, the Usage Reporting – Notifications dashboard does not display usage data. However, users can still access notification history and generate reports using the reporting tools that are available outside of this specific usage dashboard for the interim period, subject to the applicable data retention limits of those tools.
