Everbridge 360: Event Subscriptions Menu Missing — Causes and Resolution

Problem

In some organizations, administrators expect to configure visitor opt-in/Event Subscriptions in the Manager Portal but do not see the Event Subscriptions option under Settings > Contacts and Groups. The menu item is missing, and there is no visible error message.

Root Cause

The Event Subscriptions menu can be missing for several configuration and provisioning reasons:

  • The Everbridge 360 interface is not enabled at the organization level. When Everbridge 360 is not turned on in organization settings, Event Subscriptions does not appear.
  • Visitor Engagement (Event Subscriptions) is not activated for the organization. Event Subscriptions requires backend activation and configuration before it becomes available.
  • Everbridge 360 is available only at the account level and not at the specific organization level. If the setting is active only at the account level, the Event Subscriptions menu may not be visible for organizations.
  • The Everbridge 360 option is not present in organization settings because the organization previously opted out or the setting was not added. In this situation, Everbridge 360 cannot be enabled by the administrator until the setting is added.
  • Administrator permissions or organization-level permissions do not allow access to Event Subscriptions. If the organization’s setup or the user’s role does not include the required permissions, the menu will not appear for that user.

Solution

Use the following steps to restore visibility of the Event Subscriptions menu when it is missing.

1. Confirm Everbridge 360 is enabled for the organization

  • In the Manager Portal, go to Organization Settings > Everbridge 360 > Default Settings.
  • Toggle Everbridge 360 ON for the organization.
  • When Everbridge 360 is enabled, Event Subscriptions should appear under Settings > Contacts and Groups > Event Subscriptions.

2. Verify administrator permissions and organization configuration

  • Confirm that you have the appropriate administrator permissions to access Event Subscriptions.
  • Review the organization-level configuration and permissions to ensure they allow access to Event Subscriptions.

3. Request activation of Visitor Engagement (Event Subscriptions)

  • To enable Visitor Engagement (Event Subscriptions), contact Everbridge Technical Support.
  • Activation typically requires backend enablement by the support team.
  • Additional setup may be required by the Implementations team to fully configure the feature for the organization.

4. Resolve missing Everbridge 360 option at the organization level

  • If the organization has no Everbridge 360 option in Organization Settings, open a request with Everbridge Technical Support.
  • Technical Support can review the organization and may consult Product to enable Everbridge 360 and toggle it ON for that organization.

5. Confirm Event Subscriptions activation after support changes

  • After Technical Support confirms activation, check the organization’s settings for an Event Subscriptions section.
  • If you can see the Event Subscriptions settings, the feature is enabled.
  • If you do not see the Event Subscriptions settings, contact Everbridge Technical Support again and ask them to confirm with the Implementations team that the feature has been activated for the organization.

6. Address cases where Event Subscriptions is enabled only at the account level

  • If Event Subscriptions is enabled at the account level but not at the specific organization level, the Event Subscriptions menu may not be visible to that organization.
  • Coordinate with Everbridge Technical Support to ensure the setting is enabled at the organization level so the menu appears.

Once the Event Subscriptions menu is visible, administrators can configure Event Web Pages using the guidance in the article EBS: How are Event Web Pages enabled for Event Subscriptions in Everbridge Suite?.

Workaround

There is no separate workaround when Event Subscriptions is not visible in the Manager Portal. Visibility depends on:

  • Enabling Everbridge 360 at the organization level.
  • Backend activation of Visitor Engagement (Event Subscriptions) for the organization.
  • Ensuring the feature is enabled at the organization level, not only at the account level.
  • Confirming that administrator permissions and organization-level permissions allow access to Event Subscriptions.

If these conditions are not met, contacting Everbridge Technical Support is required to complete activation and configuration.
