Topic
Configuring custom upload header mapping in Everbridge 360™
Description
The Contact Upload Data Table defines the column headers for the contact CSV template. These column headers must remain unchanged when using the standard template. When an integration or upload file is configured with different column headers, those headers must be mapped in the organization using the expected spelling and spacing to ensure successful processing.
Contact Upload Mapping provides a method to associate custom column headers with standard Everbridge headers. This allows flexibility when integrating external data sources without modifying the original data structure.
Mapping configurations can be managed at both the account and organization levels.
Account Level Mapping
Contact upload mapping can be configured at the account level and applied to all Organizations or inherited as needed.
To configure account-level mapping:
- Navigate to Settings.
- Select Contact Upload Mapping.
- Select the appropriate Everbridge Header from the dropdown list.
- Enter the corresponding Custom Header value to match the upload file column header.
- Click + Add to save the mapping.
- Select Apply Mapping to Organizations to apply the mappings to all child organizations, if required.
Organization Level Mapping
Contact upload mapping can also be configured at the organization level to meet specific requirements.
To configure organization-level mapping:
- Navigate to Organization Settings.
- Expand Contacts/Assets, then select Contact Upload Mapping.
- If mappings exist at the account level, select Import Mapping from Parent Account to inherit those mappings.
- Define the required mappings between Everbridge headers and custom headers.
- Select the appropriate Everbridge Header from the dropdown list.
- Click + Add to save the mapping.
For scheduled contact uploads, confirm that mappings are applied successfully by reviewing the upload file details after processing.
