Everbridge 360™ Community Subscriptions is a feature within Everbridge that enables organizations to send ongoing, targeted communications to members of the public who have opted in to receive updates.

Community Subscriptions allows individuals to anonymously subscribe to topic-based messaging by sending an SMS keyword to a designated short code. Once subscribed, recipients can receive communications through supported delivery paths such as SMS.

Subscribers are organized into subscription lists based on topics, allowing messages to be targeted to specific audiences. 

The feature includes the following core components:

• Subscriptions: topic-based lists that define message audiences
• Keywords: unique SMS terms used for opt-in
• Welcome messages: automatic responses sent after subscription

Community Subscriptions replaces legacy Nixle Channels and centralizes opt-in public messaging within Everbridge 360 Communications. Opt-in subscribers remain anonymous within the platform and are not stored as standard contact records.
