Everbridge 360™ - iOS/iPadOS Intune Deployment

1. Prerequisites

Before setup begins, ensure the following are in place:

Tenant and Accounts

  • Microsoft Intune subscription (via Microsoft Endpoint Manager)

  • User account licensed for Intune

  • Intune Administrator or equivalent role

Apple Requirements

  • Apple ID (managed or personal, depending on deployment model)

  • Apple Push Notification service (APNs) certificate configured in Intune

  • Safari enabled on the device (required for enrollment)

 

2. Set Up an iOS App in Intune

Step 1: Access Intune

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center
    https://intune.microsoft.com

  2. Navigate to AppsAll apps

  3. Select Add

Step 2: Choose App Type

Select the appropriate app type based on how the app is delivered:

  • iOS store app – Public App Store apps

Click Select after choosing the type.

Step 3: Configure App Information

  • Search for the app by name (Everbridge 360

    Note: Ensure you select the Everbridge 360 app, not the legacy Everbridge app

Step 4: Assign the App

  1. Go to Assignments

  2. Choose one or more Azure AD groups:

    • Required – App installs automatically

    • Available – User can install from Company Portal

  3. Configure assignment filters if needed

Step 5: Review and Create

  • Review settings

  • Select Create

The app is now available in Intune and will deploy based on assignment rules.

 

3. Create the App Configuration Policy (Key–Value Setup)

Step 1: Create a New App Configuration Policy

  1. In the Intune admin center, go to AppsApp configuration policies

  2. Select Add

  3. Choose Managed devices

  4. Platform: iOS/iPadOS

  5. Select Next

Step 2: Select the Target App

  1. Under Targeted app, select Choose app

  2. Select the Everbridge 360 iOS app added in the previous section

  3. Click OK

Step 3: Add Configuration Settings

Under Configuration settings, choose Key-value pairs.

Add the following entry:

Name (Key) Value Value Type
orgCode CompanyOrgCode String

Step 4: Assign the Configuration Policy

  1. Assign the policy to the same user or device group as the app

  2. Select NextCreate

 

4. Enroll the iOS Device in Intune

Step 1: Install Company Portal

  1. On the iOS device, open the App Store

  2. Install Microsoft Intune Company Portal

Step 2: Enroll the Device

  1. Open Company Portal

  2. Sign in with the corporate Microsoft account

  3. Follow prompts to:

    • Download the management profile

    • Install the profile via SettingsGeneralVPN & Device Management

    • Approve device management

  4. Return to Company Portal and wait for enrollment to complete

 

5. Configuration Delivery and Validation

  • App configuration is delivered after:

    • The device is enrolled

    • The app is installed

    • The app is launched

  • Typical delivery time: 5–15 minutes

  • The app must be closed and reopened to consume updated configuration

Validation Steps

  • In Intune:
    AppsApp configuration policies → select policy → review Device/User status

  • On the device:
    Launch the Everbridge 360 app and confirm it initializes using the configured orgCode
