Creating Everbridge API Service Accounts in Everbridge 360™.
Description
Service Accounts in Everbridge are designed for system-to-system integrations. Unlike regular user accounts, service accounts:
- Are specifically designed for API integrations between systems
- Can be configured within an organization's account for specific needs
How to Enable Service Accounts
Service accounts within the Everbridge Manager Portal can be created at either the Account or Organization level, and support both OIDC and access token authentication.
Account Level Service Account Management
Account level API permissions are for specific methods listed below, or to allow a specialized use case for a single service account to operate API workflows across multiple organizations. Account level APIs Inlcude:
- Users
- Audit logs
Follow these steps for Account level configuration:
- Log in to the Everbridge Manager Portal
Navigate to the Users tab and select Service Accounts.
| Note: If the API Access button is not visible when setting up a Service Account, this typically means that API access has not been enabled for the Account. Contact your Everbridge Account Manager to request API activation. |
Organization Level Service Accounts
Most of the Everbridge Suite APIs are organization level aside from the few listed above under the Account Level Configuration details.
Follow these steps for Organization level configuration:
- Log in to the Everbridge Manager Portal.
- Navigate to the Organization Settings tab.
Select the Access tab and select Service Accounts.
