Disabling Modules in Your Everbridge Organization: A Step-by-Step Guide

How to Disable Modules in Everbridge

To disable or remove modules from your Everbridge organization, contact Everbridge Technical Support. They will coordinate with your Account Manager to disable specific features based on your organization's needs. When contacting support, be prepared to provide your organization's identification number and specify which modules you want to disable.

Additional Considerations

Disabling Organizations

Organizations in Everbridge cannot be directly deleted. Instead, they can be disabled or made inactive. Work with Everbridge support to disable organizations, which will make them no longer active and invisible in your account. Contacts associated with these organizations will also be removed during this process.

Member Portal Settings

If you are not using the Member Portal, you can disable it through the Organization Settings. This will prevent any unauthorized access to the portal and help maintain your organization's security configuration.

Custom Event Types

To enable or disable custom event types in Everbridge, navigate to the Communications section and look for the event types list. Click the box on the left side of each event type to activate the 'more actions' button, which allows you to enable or disable the event type. If you cannot see or interact with custom event types, you may need to check your user permissions or contact Everbridge support.

Pre-configured Organizations

If you have a pre-configured organization (such as an ATT Testing and Training org) that was set up during implementation and you wish to modify or remove it, contact your Everbridge account manager. They can provide guidance on managing organizational configurations.

User Account Management

User accounts can be disabled directly through the Everbridge user interface. At this time, there is no API-based method to automate user account disablement, which requires manual intervention by an administrator.

If you encounter an error preventing you from disabling a user account, check if the user is connected to multiple organizations. In these situations, account deletion requires intervention from an Account Administrator. Reach out to your organization's internal Account Administrator to request complete user removal from the system.
