Separate Everbridge 360 and Communications Toggles |
A new Communications toggle has been added at the Organization level (Settings > Everbridge 360 > Default Settings) that allows Organizations to apply the Everbridge 360 interface without utilizing the Communications module. This allows Everbridge Classic Mass Notification and Incident Communications customers to enjoy the updated interface while continuing to use their original workflows.
This feature is available to all customers at no additional cost. Note that the Everbridge 360 toggle must be enabled to enable Communications. Release Date: September 23 (EU), September 24 (US) |
Communication Templates |
Create Communication Templates that include detailed Descriptions, Variables, Recipients, Operator Permissions, and Categories in an intuitive, modernized design. Communication Template Library |
Users can now view, search, and organize Communication Templates with full lifecycle management capabilities, allowing them to create, edit, duplicate, delete, categorize, and filter Templates as needed. Using Communication Variables |
Message senders can now drag and drop Variables into the Operator Form and Message sections when launching a Communication or creating a Communication Template. Variables can also be hidden or locked with a predetermined value in the Operator Form. This feature has been available to customers directly onboarded into Communications, but is now also available to Classic Mass Notification and Incident Communication customers. Using Alert Variables in Messages |
Communication Templates now support inserting Alert Variables directly into the Subject and Message body. This removes the need to manage them in the Operator form, simplifying workflows and making Communication Templates faster to launch from Alerts. This feature is available to all customers. Communication Variable Library |

Communication Details Dashboard |
The new Communication Details Dashboard provides a comprehensive, real-time view of an individual Communication. Operators can quickly see what was sent, who it was sent to, and when it was delivered, along with the responses received. This makes it easier to assess the effectiveness of the Communication and take follow-up or corrective action as situations develop. This feature has been available to customers directly onboarded into Communications, but is now also available to Classic Mass Notification and Incident Communication customers. Update, Resend, and Close Communications |
Users can send follow-up updates, rebroadcast existing messages, or close Communications from within the Communications Details Page. This allows smoother management of ongoing events without switching back to the Classic Notifications or Incidents modules. Choose Recipients from Map Shape |

Case-Insensitive User IDs for Member Portal |
The Member Portal no longer enforces case sensitivity when validating SSO User IDs, allowing users to still log in successfully even if their SSO User ID does not exactly match the identity configured in the IdP. Recent Risk Events Included in Pre-Trip Country Reports |
Country Risk Reports now include a dedicated Risk Events tab, populated in real time from the Everbridge Travelers Risk Event feed. Travelers and risk managers gain deeper situational awareness, helping them make better-informed safety and travel decisions. Secured Travel Education Portal |
A new secure Traveler Education Portal is now available as a configurable Button through the Everbridge 360 Mobile and Desktop Apps. Modernized Visual Command Center Interface |
Visual Command Center users can now access a modern version of the Operator’s Console, designed for a refreshed and streamlined experience, including a new feed bar, Quick Access menu, better distinction between Contacts and Assets, and a streamlined Alert Management module. The new interface is available exclusively in Everbridge 360 to all VCC customers and can be enabled from the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the console. Everbridge Watch Zones |
Operators can now draw Watch Zones directly on the VCC Map to monitor when Assets or Contacts enter or exit an area. This supports rapid detection of potential risks and improves visibility into personnel and Asset movement. Auto-Published Risk Events |
Users can now receive rapid, high-volume Auto-Published Risk Event Alerts powered by AI, alongside analyst-validated intelligence. These Risk Events are generated, categorized, geolocated, and summarized automatically, then validated against RIMC reporting guidelines to ensure quality and reliability. Auto-Published Risk Events will appear in the Everbridge Risk Event and Everbridge Travel Risk Events feeds with Published By: Artificial Intelligence. CEM Orchestration users can also seamlessly leverage Auto-Published Risk Events in Workflow Rules via the Publication Method condition. This feature will be available to Everbridge 360 Enterprise customers and won't affect existing settings. Administrators must first enable Artificial Intelligence for their Organization at Settings > Everbridge Open > Risk Events > Everbridge Risk Events or Everbridge Travel Risk Events. Asset Resource Limitation by Role |
Administrators can manage Asset Resource Limitations with greater flexibility across both the Manager Portal and, now, the Visual Command Center. With permissions now enforced in the VCC Map interface, customers gain stronger governance, clearer operational views, and improved data integrity. APIs have been expanded to support new fields, such as Severity, Event Type, Folder assignment, and Owner search, while maintaining backward compatibility. The Everbridge 360 Critical Events List offers a centralized, customizable view of all Critical Events in real-time. Users can apply filters, save views, perform Quick Actions (such as changing Owner, Severity, Folder, and Publish or Close), manage Folder-based permissions, and export to CSV, all from a single workspace. APIs have been extended to support richer filters, Folder permissions, and quick actions, ensuring integrations align with the same real-time capabilities available in the UI. These updates simplify Crisis Management by giving teams a faster, more reliable way to monitor, triage, and respond to events without switching between multiple screens. Users can now utilize the Everbridge 360 Critical Event Details pages for easy access to a Critical Event's most important details and items (Overview, Dashboards, Alerts, Tasks, Trackers, etc.), view real-time updates, edit details inline, manage Notes with previews, and publish events with permission-based controls. These improvements enhance collaboration, reduce errors, and enable faster, more transparent crisis response. Critical Event APIs were modularized, extended with new endpoints, and updated for permission-aware polling and PubNub integration. The Documents tab in Critical Events has been modernized with enhanced features, including the ability to add from libraries/devices/links, rename or delete, filter and search (including by folder), and preview and download multiple formats, such as inline PDFs. Users can now benefit from real-time updates, sortable metadata, infinite scroll, and dark mode, with unified handling of Documents and Task/Note attachments. A new, related V2 API endpoint offers unified document/attachment operations, featuring advanced filters, updated preview handling, and CRUD support via the Gateway.
