This article explains how recipients can manage and customize the emergency alerts they receive through the Everbridge platform, including updating contact information, changing delivery preferences, and adjusting the types of alerts received.
Description
You can manage your Everbridge emergency alert preferences through the Everbridge Member Portal. This allows you to update your contact information, adjust delivery methods (SMS, email, voice), and customize alert types if your organization enables this feature.
Log in to the Member Portal
Go to https://member.everbridge.net (note your URL will be different and will be provided to you since they are specific to each organization).
Sign in with your registered email and password. If you do not have a password, use the “Forgot Password” link to create one.
Update Your Contact Information
Open the My Profile or Contact Information section.
Review and update phone numbers, email addresses, and other delivery methods to ensure alerts reach you reliably.
Customize Alert Types (if enabled by your organization)
Navigate to Alert Subscriptions, Preferences, or My Subscriptions.
Select the categories of alerts you want to receive (for example, weather warnings, traffic disruptions, safety alerts).
Note: Some organizations use preset configurations and may not allow changes to alert categories.
Adjust Delivery Methods and Order
Choose preferred delivery methods (SMS, email, voice call, mobile app) where available.
Set delivery order if your organization has enabled this option.
Save Your Changes
Confirm and save updates so your preferences are applied to future alerts.
If you cannot adjust alert types or do not see the options described above, contact your organization’s Everbridge administrator or the issuing agency (for example, your city’s public alert service) for assistance. Some organizations restrict customization to ensure all recipients receive the same notifications.
