Problem
You have downloaded Everbridge 360 mobile application and it appears in Arabic language.
Root Cause
The Everbridge 360™ app, during initial installation, attempts to detect and utilize the device's regional language settings. If these settings are incorrect or if the app's language detection algorithm encounters an error, the app may default to an unintended language.
Note that changing the language in your public profile does not affect the mobile application language, as these settings are managed independently. The public profile language setting is typically used for web-based interfaces, while the mobile application language is controlled within the app itself.
Currently, the Everbridge 360™ mobile app does not support setting a predefined language for an entire organization. While iOS managed devices can set app-specific language settings, this is not possible for Android devices.
Solution
iOS Devices:
On the iOS device, open the Settings.
Scroll down or use the search bar to find the "Everbridge 360™" application in the list of installed apps.
Within the Everbridge 360™ settings, find the Preferred Language section and tap on Language.
A list of available languages will appear. Scroll through the list to find the desired language.
Once selected, a small blue checkmark will appear to the right of it, indicating the choice.
Tap the back arrow in the top left corner of the screen to return to the app's settings. The newly selected language will be displayed.
Close the Everbridge 360™ application completely and then reopen it for the language change to take full effect.
Android Devices:
Launch the Everbridge 360™ application on the Android device.
If prompted, enter the organization code in the provided field and tap Continue.
Once inside the application, locate and tap on the settings icon.
Within the Settings menu, find and tap on the Language option.
Select the desired language from the list provided.
Close the Everbridge 360™ application completely and then reopen it for the language change to take full effect.
Setting English as Default Language:
If you want to ensure English is set as the default language for the Everbridge application:
Go to your phone's Settings.
Navigate to General > Language & Region.
Tap Add Language and select English (or another supported language).
Ensure that English is listed as one of the preferred languages.
If the application still opens in another language after adjusting these settings, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Everbridge app.
Workaround
If you encounter poor translation quality:
Manually change the app's language to English or another well-supported language in the app's settings.
Provide feedback to Everbridge about the translation issues.
If you encounter translation or UI inconsistencies:
Take screenshots of the specific issues.
Document the exact location and context of the problem.
Report the issue to Everbridge Technical Support with detailed information.
Provide specific examples of incorrect or inconsistent translations.
Everbridge is continuously working on improving translations.
