How to update Contact SSO IDs in Everbridge Suite.

Description

After configuring Single Sign-On (SSO) for an Everbridge Member Portal, Contacts must have an SSO ID associated with the Contact records before signing in to the Member Portal. There are two ways to update a contact's SSO User ID:

Method 1: Individual Contact Updates

To view, add or modify the SSO ID of an individual Contact, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Everbridge Manager Portal and select your Organization

  2. Select Contacts + Assets > Contacts > Contact List

  3. Click on the First Name of the Contact to access Contact Information. Here, you can view the SSO ID.

  1. To add or edit an SSO ID

    1. From the Contact Information screen, select Edit contact information or

    2. From the main menu, select Contacts + Assets > Contacts > Contact List > pencil icon next to the Contact to be edited

    3. Make the changes

Method 2: Bulk Contact Upload

SSO User ID information can also be configured through a contact upload by using the "SSO User ID" field. This method is more efficient for updating multiple contacts at once:

  1. Prepare a contact file that includes the SSO ID field for each contact.

  2. Upload the file using the UPDATE upload option.
