How to create a multi-selection location variable in Visual Command Center (VCC) that will ensure your employees with expected dynamic locations receive automated notifications.

Description

To ensure your employees with expected dynamic locations receive automated notifications, create a Multi-Selection location variable with Expected, Last Known and Static location options and add it to your auto-launch template. In the example below, variable VCC!: Location Type is created and added to an auto-launch template.

Create the variable

1. Log in to the Everbridge Manager Portal and select your Organization
2. Select Communications > Incidents > Variables
3. Click New Variable.
4. From the drop-down menu, select Multiple Selection
5. Enter the variable name VCC!: Location Type
6. Define three options: Expected, Last Known and Static
7. Click OK.
   
   

Add the new variable to your auto-launch template

1. Log in to the Everbridge Manager Portal and select your Organization
2. Select Communications > Incidents > Templates
3. Edit {template name}
4. Select the new variable just created
5. Add the three options Expected, Last Known, and Static from the drop-down menu to your form.
