360™ Desktop: The Everbridge 360™ Desktop App Automatically Maximizes on the Screen When a User Logs In

Problem

The Everbridge 360 Desktop App automatically maximizes on the screen when a user logs in.

Root Cause

This behavior occurs because the app is designed to alert users of its activation and readiness immediately upon login.

Solution

To prevent the Everbridge app from automatically maximizing, users can configure it to minimize to the system tray immediately after it loads. This adjustment allows the app to remain active and fully functional in the background without dominating the screen space.

Steps to Minimize the Everbridge App to the System Tray

  1. Log in to your computer and wait for the Everbridge 360 Desktop App to load fully.

  2. Once the app has fully loaded, close the main app window. This action does not exit the app but minimizes it to the system tray.

  3. To confirm the app is still running, locate the Everbridge icon in your system tray. The presence of this icon indicates that the app is active and running in the background.

  4. If you need to access the app again, simply click on the Everbridge icon in the system tray to maximize it.
