How to extend the Incident Zone Notification duration beyond the five-hour Everbridge default without sending an additional notification.
Description
To extend the Incident Zone Notification duration in Everbridge, follow these steps:
- Log in to the Everbridge Manager Portal and select your Organization
- Select Communications > Incidents > Templates > Default Options
- Select the pencil icon to edit the relevant Incident template or add a new template
- Select Settings in the template
- Modify the Notification Duration:

- For Contacts outside the selected polygon, the default duration is set to five hours. This can be adjusted in the template settings.
- For Contacts inside the polygon, you can extend the duration to more than ten hours or as specified by the Organization Admin.
- Ensure no additional notification is sent:

- Adjusting the duration in the template settings will not trigger a new Notification. It simply extends the time the Incident remains active.
- Click Save

- After making the necessary adjustments, ensure you save the changes to the template.
By following these steps, you can effectively manage the duration of your Incident Notifications without sending additional alerts.
