VCC: Reviewing Feeds in Visual Command Center

1. Navigate

Hover over Situational Awareness and click on Visual Command Center.

7. Enable Assets

Click the checkbox and enable Assets.

And see that any assets that are geo-coded and within view on the map will appear.

Assets are the people and places that you care about and want to monitor.

10. De-select Contacts

I am going to deselect contacts so that I only visualize buildings on the map.

11. Zoom Map

I am zooming in on a building for a closer view. Let's enable risk events and overlay them on our asset.

Open the risk event drop down.

13. Enable Feed

And enable the RIMC Powered by NC4 option.

See that the map now displays the related risk events.

Let's reduce some of the noise on the map by de-selecting risk event categories.

For this example, I will keep HAZMAT/fire as the only category that I would like to visualize.

Now, let's review the details of a risk event. Hover over a risk event.

And click.

In the bottom panel we can see the risk event's full details.

Now that we've reviewed risk events and assets, let's review alerts.

21. Review Map

Alerts occur when a risk event intersects with one of your assets. More specifically, the Risk Event's severity, source, and proximity to your asset reaches a preconfigured threshold that is configured in your settings.

22. Hover Over

Let's click on an alert.

See that the bottom panel will show you how many people or places are in the vicinity of the alert.

24. Click "Buildings"

We can click on Buildings.

25. Affected Buildings

And see which particular building is in the vicinity of the alert. Now that we know this alert is impacting our New York Office, let's take a closer look by using the context feed.

Let's zoom in on the alert.

And open the Context feed dropdown.

Now, we will enable traffic conditions so we can see which streets are experiencing congestion.

By hovering over the traffic camera icon we can see the current traffic on the street.
