What is a Safety Device in Everbridge Suite?

Answer

Safety devices is an add-on feature to Safety Connection where you can send SOS and Safety events to Everbridge using the Safety Device integration REST API. 

A safety device is a personal device that can send an SOS/Panic or report on your location. Some examples are: Zoleo Satellite Communicator, Garmin InReach, VOS Personal Safety Device, ACR ResQLink SOS personal locator Beacon and the list goes on.

IMPORTANT: Only registered safety devices can send safety events.

For more information on the Safety Device add on, access online help:

1. Log in to the Everbridge Manager Portal.
2. Under HELP & SUPPORT choose Online Help from the drop-down menu.

3. Search for Safety Devices Registration in the search bar.
