Custom Roles Known Issues and Exceptions.

Description

Below is a list of known issues and exceptions with the Custom Roles feature.

Known Issues

  1. Incident Without Scheduling
    When: “Create, edit and delete incident templates” or “Launch and manage incidents” permissions are enabled but the “Create, edit and delete schedules” is disabled.
    Issue: Calendars will not be listed in Existing Object Variable of Calendar type.
  1. Information Variables Without Scheduling
    When: If “Create, edit and delete information variables” is enabled but “Create, edit and delete schedules” is disabled.
    Issue: An error message is displayed when trying to create/edit Existing Object Variable of Calendar type.
  1. Incident Without Scheduling
    When: If “Create, edit and delete incident templates” is enabled AND the role has "Access to all" Incident Templates with "Edit and Delete Incident Templates created by this role only" disabled and “Create, edit and delete schedules” is disabled.
    Issue: When checking the option "Send to linked calendars for all selected groups" for an incident, contacts from the selected group(s) who are on-call at the time are not shown in the contact preview, but they receive the notification.
  1. Notification Contact advanced search without Scheduling
    When: If “Create, edit and delete schedules” is disabled
    Issue: An error message is displayed when trying to do a Contact advanced search using a Calendar filter while creating/editing/launching a template.

Known Exceptions

  1. ManageBridge does not support custom roles. For more information please see knowledge base article Mobile: Does ManageBridge Support Custom Roles?
  1. The below feature sections may not work properly for Custom Roles:
    • Smart Orchestration
    • Visual Command Center
    • Scheduling - Manage Calendars, access Calendars in Notifications/Incidents Templates and
    • Notifications/Incidents launch workflows
  1. Scheduling - Manage Calendars, access Calendars in Notifications/Incidents Templates and Notifications/Incidents launch workflows
