Roles - New Behavior for Incident Zones (Notifications & Incidents) Starting March 19 & 20, 2024.
Description
The March 19 and 20, 2024 release of Everbridge Suite introduces the ability to create custom roles. Whether you use custom roles or not, the option Use map shape as Incident Zone will no longer be displayed by default when creating Incident Zones as a result of this release. Please note that the original behavior may be restored. Please see the example below for details on this new behavior.
Impacted Permission(s):
Registered Contacts (Private Incident Zones) AND Anonymous Contacts (Public Incident Zones).
Impacted Roles:
- Incident Communications: Incident Operator
- Mass Notification: Group Manager, Dispatcher, Mass Notification Operator
Use Case:
Incident Operator A does not have Registered Contacts (Private Incident Zones) or Anonymous Contacts (Public Incident Zones) permissions enabled and Incident Operator A launches a template that has the option Use map shape as an Incident Zone enabled.
