What's New in Everbridge 360™ (Includes Mass Notifications unless otherwise specified)
Scenario Templates in Communications

Users can now launch multiple simultaneous Communications related to an event from a predefined Scenario template, allowing them to effectively convey different messages about the same event to different stakeholders based on relevance and impact.

View Recipients Added via Incident Rules and Conditions in Communications

Users can now view a unified summary of Recipients selected for the Communication via Incident Rules, Conditions, and direct selection of Individuals, Groups, and Rules​. This should provide a clear and concise snapshot of the target recipients for the Communication, along with the details of how the recipient was selected for the Communication​.

Enhanced Recipient Selector and Summary When Launching a Communication

The interface for the Recipient Selector and Recipient Summary have been reorganized to improve functionality, allowing users to launch a Communication more efficiently. ​

Safe Corridor Support

Safe Corridor, a pivotal Safety Connection feature, is now available for the Everbridge 360apps on iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows devices.

This enhancement won't affect any preexisting settings and is available to all Safety Connection customers.

Private Incident Zone Settings

The new Incident Zones setting allows for a user's location to automatically update their Organization's Private Incident Zone system. This will enable a user to receive Notifications based on their location and avoid receiving Notifications outside of their current area. 

This enhancement is available to all customers utilizing Private Incident Zones and won't affect preexisting settings.

Mobile Device Management Support for Organization Codes

IT administrators are now able to deploy the Organization Code to managed devices via Mobile Device Management, removing the need for users to enter their Organization Code when logging in via iOS or Android. 

This feature won't impact any preexisting settings and comes at no additional cost.

Email Notifications for API Uploads

Administrators can now determine who receives an email notification for API uploads at the Organization level from Settings > Contacts and Groups (or Contacts/Assets) > Upload Options > API Upload tab. It can be set to:

  • Mirror the Secure FTP alert configuration
  • Custom
    • Send Alert to Contacts 
      • Send automated emails to all Admins 

      • Do not send automated emails to all Admins

    • Send Alert to additional subscribers

This feature is available to all API users at no additional cost. To preserve current behavior, by default, email notifications for API uploads will not be automatically configured.

Contact Integration for UKG Pro and Workday

Administrators can now create integrations between UKG Pro or Workday for contact synchronization at Settings > Contacts and Groups (or Contacts/Assets) > Contact Integration without setting up an SFTP or API integration. 

This feature won't impact any preexisting settings and comes at no additional cost.

What's New in Travel Protector
Pre-Trip Advisory Message Personalization

While defining outgoing messages to travelers, users now have the flexibility to incorporate the traveler's first name and/or last name anywhere within the message using system Incident variables. Additionally, pre-configured details can be relocated to any part of the outgoing message through the use of a system Incident variable.

 

This feature is free for all Travel Protector customers and won't affect any preexisting settings.

Filter Last Known Locations by Time

Using the VCC contact filter, or from the Last Known Location tab on the VCC Contact Details, you can apply time filters to Last Known Locations to view those that were active in the past or will still be active in the future.

This enhancement is available to all Travel Protector customers at no additional cost.

What's New in Visual Command Center
Quickly Assess Affected Assets

Users can now view a summary of affected assets and contacts across different types in VCC, including:

  • Assets
  • Contacts
  • Locations

This should increase the speed of Alert assessment with summaries displayed in the VCC Operator Console.

Filter Contacts by Last Known Location Source

Using the Contact filter, you can filter contacts via their Last Known Locations by Event source:

  • Everbridge Mobile App
  • Badging Sources
  • RiskBand

By increasing location awareness, you can quickly pinpoint your contacts of interest.

Export Geospatial Shapes with Risk Intelligence Context

Users can now quickly create shape assets by exporting geospatial shapes (GeoJSON or WKT formats) with Risk Intelligence context, allowing them to:

  • Copy or export any area file from VCC
  • Create alert shape asset geometry for use in Asset Management

Severe thunderstorms from NWS will now be classified within each segment, offering more context to help assess their potential impact.

Minor Improvements to Existing Features - All Products

Uploads Secure FTP Page Name The Secure FTP page in Organization Settings has been renamed to Upload Options to allow for the inclusion of additional upload methods.  Clarifies that the page contains general Upload Options instead of solely Secure FTP. 
Travel Protector Travel Location Data Feed and Itinerary REST API Contact Matching When the value follows an email format, users can choose whether to disregard case sensitivity when matching the externalID to the employeeID. This should result in fewer Temporary Travelers being accidentally created due to an inexact match. 
Mass Notification Contact Management Geocoding A link to the Online Help for the geocoding options has been added to the interface.  This allows users to quickly find information on the geocoding settings.
Mass Notification & Incident Communications Interface Translations Text for the French translations has been updated in several menu options and forms in the Manager Portal. Makes it easier for native French speakers to use Mass Notification and Incident Communications products in the Manager Portal.

REST API

Launch by Phone

The Template ID used to launch Notifications and Incident Templates by phone can now be retrieved as customTemplateId via the following REST APIs:​

  • Get /notificationTemplates/{organizationId}​
  • Get /notificationTemplates/{organizationId}/{notificationTemplateId}​
  • Get /incidentTemplates/{organizationId}​
  • Get /incidentTemplates/{organizationId}/{incidentTemplateId}​
Allows users to access the custom Template ID from outside of the Everbridge user interface.
Everbridge 360 Communications Launch Communication The Select/Search Template and Delivery Paths steps have been combined into one step.  The streamlined interface allows users to focus on launching the Communication efficiently.
Everbridge 360 Communications Launch Communication System Variables (auto-filled Variables that do not require user input) will be hidden in the Launch workflow. The reduced number of Variables will be less distracting for users. 
Everbridge 360 Communications Launch Communication The list of Contact attributes to be displayed in the recipient selector within the Launch Communication flow can be configured at Settings > Organization > Everbridge 360 > Communications Recipients. Operators will be able to refer to additional Contact attributes to quickly select the right Individuals while sending a Communication.
Everbridge 360 Communications Launch Communication The Event Types dropdown menu in the Launch Communication form has been redesigned to display a shorter list of out-of-the-box Event Types. Parent-level values will be displayed in the dropdown instead of Event Type subcategories. Allows users to quickly select the appropriate Event Type for the Communication​.
