RIMC: Risk Events on the Map Display in the Wrong Location

Problem:

RIMC risk events on the map display in the wrong location.

Root Cause:

When a risk event occurs, such as a large fire or explosion at a chemical plant, information on the exact location may not be available. Rather than wait to issue a risk event, RIMC will publish an initial risk event, then update it in a subsequent risk event containing a more exact physical location.

During complex risk events, the RIMC team balances expediency with accuracy by dynamically updating location information as new verified information becomes available. Locations may be adjusted as more precise information is confirmed from various sources.

Solution:

This is the expected process for RIMC.

For more information regarding a published risk event, please contact the RIMC directly at RIMC.Feedback@everbridge.com. For additional assistance or other questions, contact Everbridge Support.
