How to create notification templates in Everbridge Suite.

In a high-pressure situation, having a Notification Template set up for use can save precious minutes and get your Notification out quickly.

Go to manager.everbridge.net

1. Dashboard

Notification Templates include the Message, Contacts, Publishing Options, and Settings of your Notification. To create a Notification Template.

Hover over Communications.

Then hover over Notifications.

And click, New Notification.

5. Create Notification

Fill out the Notification with all the information for this planned communication.

10. Send and Save

At the bottom of the page, select Save As a notification template.

Enter "Save" in the field.

Select the "Evacuation" option.

14. Notification Templates

A Notification Template will only be visible to the Role that was used to create it.

15. Organization Administrator Template

For example, if you create a template as an Organization Administrator.

Only Organization Administrators will be able to see that template.

17. Template Permissions

If you log out and log in as a different role, you can not see the template that was just created. This also applies if your organization has multiple of the same roles with different permissions.

For example, if a Group Manager A creates a Notification Template.

Then Group Manager B won't be able to see the Template unless they have been given the permission to do so from an administrator, even though they are technically both Group Managers.

The exception to this is the Mass Notification Operator role. This user will only be able to send the Notification Templates created and assigned to their role. To do this.

22. Settings

Start by hovering over the Settings tab in the Organization or select the Roles tab from the Account level.

Hover over Access.

Then click Roles.

Create a new role by selecting, New Role.

Select Mass Notification Operator.

And provide a name for this new Role.

Enter the name for the new role.

Under Notification Template, you have the option to provide access to all Templates, or you can choose which Templates the Role will be able to see and use.

Confirm the set permissions as "true."

Confirm the set permissions as "false."

After selecting which Templates you want to provide access to click Save. Our Mass Notification Operator - Pasadena, now has access to all Notification Templates. This Role is now ready to assign to a user who will be able to send these templates.
