EBS: Saving a Calendar in IT Alerting Results in 'An error has occurred' Popup Error

Problem:

A Group Manager cannot publish or mark a calendar as Active (ITA > Calendars) because the following popup error occurs when saving the calendar:

An error has occurred.

Root Cause:

There are two possible root causes for this error:

  1. The check box to require One Staff Member is checked without adding staff.
  2. The end date(s) of Shift Layers are in the past.

Solution:

The solution depends on the root cause:

  1. If the check box to require One Staff Member is checked without adding staff, check each Staffing Layer in the User Interface (UI) and either add at least one staff member or uncheck the box to require staff.
  2. If the end date(s) of Shift Layers are in the past, edit the end date(s) to a future date or remove the Shift Layer if it is no longer needed.
