EBS: Why Do Polling Notifications Leave Voicemail Messages on Phones When the Voicemail Settings Are Configured to “No Message” in Everbridge Suite?

Question

Why do Polling notifications leave voicemail messages on phones when the voicemail settings are configured to "no message" in Everbridge Suite?

Answer

This is by design. A response is required for polling notifications and if the recipient does not answer the call, Everbridge will leave a voice message asking to call a designated phone number. Then by calling the number, a contact can enter the provided broadcast ID and then select their desired polling response.

Optionally, submit a community idea for further control over voice mail settings on polling notifications. Information on submitting community ideas can be found in knowledge article Support Center: How to Use the Ideas Page in the Everbridge Support Center to Request Product Enhancements.
