Problem
A rule or advanced search that uses a "does not contain" query with building names has unexpected results. For example, you may want to send a Notification to anyone not in a certain building, but people inside the building are still receiving the Notification.
Root Cause
Contacts with multiple buildings, not just one building, may cause unexpected results when running a rule or advanced search that uses a "does not contain" query with building names. For example, the contact in the screenshot below contains two buildings because each of its static locations is linked to a different building. As a result, this contact may receive Notifications they are not meant to receive.
Workaround
To avoid unexpected results, manually filter out the contacts in the rule or filter who should not receive Notifications:
