Can the Chinese characters that appear at the beginning of SMS notifications sent to contacts in China be removed?

Answer

No. The Chinese characters (which translate to "Everbridge China") must appear at the beginning of SMS notifications as legally required by the Chinese government, and therefore can not be removed.
