Problem

Uploading contacts via SFTP generates the following error code:

ERROR:> Auth failed. Passw Not Sent Yet. Meth that could otherwise continue: publickey,password.

Root Cause

This occurs when someone attempts to create a public key which has rendered the existing private key inoperable.

Solution

A new private key must be generated and downloaded for SFTP uploads.
