EBS: Can an Incident Operator Be Restricted From Viewing Specific Incidents After They Have Been Launched in Incident Communications?

Question

Can an Incident Operator be restricted from viewing specific Incidents after they have been launched?

Answer

You cannot configure an Incident Operator role to see only certain individual incidents in the Incidents > Active or Incidents > History lists while hiding others.

Incident and scenario visibility is scoped by role:

  • Incident Operators can be limited to viewing and managing only incidents and scenarios that were launched by their own role (for example, their Incident Operator Role or a custom role).
  • Alternatively, you can grant an Incident Operator permission to view all incidents in the Organization. However, this also permits them to send updates to those incidents; there is no setting to give “view-only” access to all incidents.
  • To allow a user to view and edit incidents or scenarios launched by other roles (for example, by an admin role), the user must be given administrative access. There is no configuration that grants cross-role visibility/edit rights without admin privileges.
