In rare cases where FEMA does not send a return response, a Refresh Status button is displayed.
The Refresh Status button only displays if the final status is any one of the following connection errors:
Message not sent – Contact Everbridge
Message not sent – Server connection error – Try again or Contact Everbridge
Internal Server Error
IPAWS Service Unavailable – Contact Everbridge
Clicking the Refresh Status button sends a request to FEMA to retrieve the latest status. Possible outcomes are:
Updated success status: The message was sent from Everbridge to FEMA to the carrier. No further action is required.
Updated failed status: The message was sent from Everbridge to FEMA, but it failed from FEMA to the carrier (199 error code - The CMAS Gateway cannot be reached or response time-out error). Draft a new message and resend.
Notification ID not found: The message was sent from Everbridge to FEMA, but FEMA failed to receive the message. Draft a new message and resend.
