How to format phone numbers (voice and SMS) for contacts in Brazil under contact delivery methods in Everbridge Suite.
Description:
Use the following guidelines when notifying contacts based in Brazil under contact delivery methods (Contacts/Assets > Contacts > Contact List > {edit specific contact > scroll down to Delivery Methods}
- 55 is the country code for Brazil
- Numbers are of the format: <2-digit country code> <2-digit area code> <number>
- Landline phone numbers are 10 digits.
- Mobile phone numbers are 11 digits.
- For mobile phone numbers, the first number following the two-digit area code must be a 9. For example, 55 11 91234 5678.
- For more information on formatting numbers for calling Brazil see the following website: http://www.howtocallabroad.com/brazil/.
Follow the steps below to manually enter contact information (the same format applies when preparing CSV files for uploading).
- For a voice path to landlines in Brazil: Enter the phone number only.
After saving, closing, then re-opening the contact, the Device address format should look similar to this: +55 11 2345-6789.
- For a voice path to mobile numbers in Brazil: Enter the phone number only.
After saving, closing, then re-opening the contact, the Device address format should look similar to this: +55 11 91234 5678.
- For an SMS path to mobile numbers in Brazil: Enter the phone number only.
After saving, closing, then re-opening the contact, the Device address format should look similar to this: +55 11 91234 5678.
