Description
Sending out messages through the Everbridge manager portal is a vital aspect of keeping your recipients informed and aware.
1. Administrator Settings
Having your recipients confirm that they've received your notification can be even more beneficial to improving your organization's messaging. And this can be done through the Confirmation Requested setting. Be aware that only specific administrator roles within your organization will be able to adjust certain notification settings.
2. Dashboard
To turn on the confirmation requested feature.
3. Dashboard
Begin by hovering over the Settings tab.
4. Dashboard
Then click Organization.
5. Organization Details

13. SMS Confirmation
With this new feature turned on, your messages now include a way for your contacts to let you know they've received your notification.
14. Email Confirmation
For example, in a notification sent to an email address, Everbridge includes a hyperlink. This can be clicked by a user to confirm receipt of the message.
15. Voice Call Confirmation
In a voice message, users are prompted to press a key.
16. Default Options
Our best practice recommendation is to have the Confirmation Requested setting turned on, as it gives contacts control of not receiving a message they've already seen. And it gives you, the administrator insight into how contacts got your message, as well as how quickly it was received.
17. Dashboard
When your contacts confirm receiving your message.
18. Dashboard
It is reflected in the Notification Report, which can be viewed through the Active History page.
19. Active / History
By viewing these reports.
20. Active / History
Your organization can determine how many people are seeing your notifications, as well as how they're seeing your notifications.
21. Notification Details
22. Delivery Details
For example, you may recognize a trend that your contacts are mainly confirming receiving notifications through SMS.
23. Confirmed Method
Meaning your organization can prioritize the SMS text message delivery option when sending out communications.
24. Improve Notifications
It's important to note that your contacts do not need to confirm receiving your notifications for your messaging to continue as originally configured. It will not affect your messaging cycles, and can only improve your organization's insight into the effectiveness of your notifications.
