When using shapes to select contacts, contacts can be filtered by editing the contact layers. Follow the steps below:

1. Log in to the Manager Portal and select the desired organization from the upper right-hand corner.
2. Click on the Notifications tab.
3. Click New Notification.
4. Build the notification as desired.
5. Under the Contacts section, click on Map.
6. Create the desired polygon. (Notice in the example to the right, the polygon includes static locations, last known locations, and expected locations.)

7. Under Select Contacts, click on Contact Layers.
8. De-select the checkboxes next to Static Location and Expected Location.
9. Leave the checkbox next to Last Known Location selected. (Check ins are included in the Last Known Location contact layer.)
10. Click the blue Select button on the upper right-hand side.
11. Complete the rest of the notification as desired and click Send.
