Topic:
How to convert an image to a URL so that it can appear in the Login, Overview, and FAQ pages of the Everbridge Member Portal.
Description:
Three Content sections for the Member Portal do not support images that are copy/pasted or dragged into their text boxes. This includes the Login, Overview, and FAQ Member Portal pages.
Images included in these three Content sections of the Member Portal (located under Settings > Member Portal > Content in the Manager Portal) must be in URL form so that they display properly. Unlike the Member Portal Banner, images for the above-mentioned sections are not hosted in Everbridge Suite. A solution is to convert an image into a URL and include that URL in the rich text fields of the Content sections: Login, Overview, and FAQ. The following example is for the Login Member Portal page (located under Settings > Member Portal > Content > Login in the Manager Portal).
- Click inside the textbox to access the HTML toolbar and ensure the insert point matches the designated image location.
- Select the Insert Image button to the left of the Insert Hyperlink button.
- Insert the converted image URL below Enter URL: and click Submit.
- Once the image has appeared in its designated location, click Save.
Converting an Image to a URL
Converting an image to a URL involves a third party software or resource.
This example used the tool imgbb.com for the Login section, but these steps are also applicable to the Overview and FAQ sections of the Content drop-down menu located under Settings > Member Portal > Content in the Manager Portal.
- Click START UPLOADING.
- Select the desired image and click Open.
- Click Upload. (Note: the URL that is produced beneath this Upload button is not compatible with Everbridge Suite.)
- Click the uploaded image. (Note: the URL that is produced beneath Viewer links is not compatible with Everbridge Suite.)
- Scroll to the bottom-right side of the page and click the download icon.
- Once a full screen of the image displays, copy the URL at the top of the page and paste it under Enter URL: after clicking the Insert Image button in one of the Content sections of the Member Portal Settings such as Login.
- Click Submit and then Save. The image will now appear on the Member Portal Login page.
