When is a file attachment to a notification or incident sent as a link?

Answer

When attaching a file to a notification or incident in Everbridge Suite (Communications > Notifications > New Notification) you may see the following message appear:

Recipients will get the attachments as a link. 

This message means the total combined file size of the attachment(s) is > 2 MB and <= 20 MB. Files of this size are sent as links rather than as part of the message body.
