Question
Does daylight savings time impact calendars in Everbridge Suite?
Answer
No. Calendars automatically update for daylight savings time based on the time zone configured for the user that created the calendar.
NOTE: Shifts within calendars also update based on the time zone configured for the user that created the shift. When teams are split across time zones, this can cause a one-hour gap or overlap in global coverage during daylight savings time transitions, because shifts are defined in local clock time rather than as absolute UTC times.
If a calendar event or on-call shift was scheduled using the wrong time zone:
Confirm the correct time and time zone with all affected participants.
Have the organizer update or resend the calendar invite or shift at the correct time and in the intended time zone.
To help keep schedules consistent around daylight savings time:
Set a shift's time zone in the shift details (consider using UTC for cross-region teams).
Verify each user's profile time zone under My Account > My Profile, and choose the correct Daylight vs Standard variant (for example, EDT vs EST).
Set the calendar start day to preserve Monday–Sunday rotations under Contacts > Scheduling, then hover over the cog icon, click First day of week, and select Monday.
