NOTE: Contact Upload file failure error messages may be viewed under Contacts > Uploads > . Clicking on the
icon next to the desired upload file brings you to the Upload Results page where the error is displayed.
Root Cause:
This error means that a CSV upload file has a custom value entered incorrectly. Additional information fields must be defined in an organization's settings before performing a CSV upload. (Organization > Settings > Contacts and Groups > Additional Information.) This error occurs when the values used in those fields are incorrectly formatted.

In the following scenario, the error message displaying is for a custom value using the Date data type. When creating the CSV file, the value entered into the custom field cell must exactly match the name of the additional information field. As an example, the contact to the right has the Date additional information field set with single selection as the display format. Notice that a date is selected as an item. This item is the value that must be formatted correctly in the CSV file to upload properly. |
