Root Cause:

This error means the contact record in the upload file is missing one or more required fields (First Name, Last Name, External ID & Record Type). Check the Error Message column for the contact to see which required fields are missing a value.

Solution:

Update the contacts in the upload file with the missing required fields. The solution is best illustrated with an example.

Example 1:

Upload result screen showing contacts with errors

For example, the following file would cause these errors:

           CSV that would cause error

Note that one contact is missing all four required fields and the other contacts are each missing one required field. The solution in this case would be providing a value for each of the required columns (First Name, Last Name, External ID & Record Type) for each one of the contacts. The file example below has the missing values corrected.
