Contact upload failure error messages may be viewed under Contacts > Uploads> User-added image.  Selecting the User-added imageupload results icon next to the desired file opens the Upload Results page, where the error is displayed.

Root Cause

This error indicates that a group name provided in the Groups column is invalid due to length.

A group name exceeds the maximum allowed limit of 260 characters.

Solution

Ensure that all group names in the Groups column do not exceed 260 characters.

Update the CSV file to shorten any group names exceeding this limit, then reattempt the upload.
